Squadron Chairman - Christopher Watson
Full Name - Christopher Watson
Squadron Role – Civilian Committee Chairman
Time in the Air Training Corps (ATC) – 2 ½ Years
Civilian Job – Aeronautical Engineer
Brief History - I served in the Royal Air Force for 17 years - 1990 to 2007. During my 17 years I worked at RAF Swinderby, RAF Halton, RAF Honnington, RAF Brize Norton, RAF Cosford, RAF Lossiemouth, RAF Leeming and RAF Marham. During this time I have very proudly served on three front line Tornado Operating Squadrons, 617 (Dambusters), 25 & 31. This enabled me to travel the world on both training exercises and out of area operations. To this day I still work alongside the Royal Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanical Supervisor with BAESystems.
I now feel fortunate to be involved in helping make 1507 (Chester-Le-Street) Squadron an attractive and welcoming place for young people to learn, enjoy and be involved in the fantastic opportunities available to them.

Brief History - I have worked within the Motor Industry for the last 29 years, I'm married and me and my wife and have 2 grown up boys.
I am a dad of 1 Cadet currently attending 1507 Squadron and have been caught up in their enthusiasm for the Air Training Corps.
Over the last 29 years I have reached the highest level I am able to within my motor career. Before joining Civilian committee at 1507 squadron, I also completed my coaching certificate and first aid to coach children's football to take an active roll in my children hobbies and interests. This has allowed me to have an interest in both of my children, to see them grow in confidence, gain life skills, to have fun, learn about discipline and to form friendships. I now feel that I am giving something back to the community.
